Product Care
Product specific cards are provided with every Fred & Wick purchase. Our care cards explain how you can get the very best from your product.
If you have misplaced your care card, please see below..
Candle Care
- Allow your candle to reach a full melt pool on the first few burns. this is to avoid 'tunnelling.' This will take approximately four hours on each burn.
- Burns should never exceed four hours.
- Trim your wick to 5mm before every burn. This is to maintain a safe, even and clean burn.
- Burn your candle away from draughts. Never leave your candle unattended. Keep out of the reach of children & pets.
- Once your candle wax is 1cm from the bottom, pop it in the freezer for 10 minutes to help you to remove the remaining wax. You can now re-use your vessel for decorative purposes!
Diffuser Care
- Simply remove the stopper and place the fibre reeds into your diffuser bottle.
- We recommend you place your diffuser in a high traffic area such as a hallway. It may take a couple of days of trialling your diffuser in various locations around your house before you find the best spot that gives the perfect scent throw.
- Flip the reeds weekly for a stronger fragrance.
- Ensure your diffuser is placed on a coaster so that any spillages will not damage furniture.
Wax Melt Care
- Pop a wax melt in to your burner.
- Use with a small four hour tea light only. Using a larger tea light may cause over heating and cracking of the burner.
- Change your wax melt when it no longer smells as strong as you would like it. This is usually after four tea lights. Do not add a new wax melt to the existing wax as it will dilute the strength of the new wax melt.
- Do not move the burner until the wax melt has hardened. Always use burner on a heat resistant surface.
